BlackBerry, a Canadian telecommunication and wireless equipment company, and Airline company Boeing Co. have teamed up to create a complicated, powerful, self-destructing smartphone. The smartphone or rather spy-phone will be used by US defense and homeland security personnel and contractors.

The smartphone, dubbed Boeing Black, will run on BlackBerry's Business Enterprise Server (BES). The BES enables high security for smartphones and is compatible with both Android devices and iPhones.

"We're pleased to announce thatBoeingis collaborating with BlackBerry to provide a secure mobile solution for Android devices utilizing our BES 12 platform," BlackBerry CEO John Chen said recently.

"That, by the way, is all they allow me to say."

The device will be Android-based and can self-destruct if tampered with. Boeing Black is capable of using dual SIM cards and can be configured to connect with biometric sensors and satellites.

According to reports, Boeing has already begun offering the phone to 'potential customers.' However, release date for Boeing Black is yet to be slated.
