According to this revolutionary study, 28 young men underwent six weeks test and the test subjects were divided into those who exercised and those who didn't.

The study participants were given same amount of breakfast. However, the ones who exercised before breakfast lost weight or didn't gain any. In fact, they were also able to add extra food to their diet. On the other hand, their counterparts had a hard time in keeping the weight off and some even gained as many as 3 pounds.

To prove the point further, a smaller study was conducted to explain the importance of timing in workout, especially if you are trying to lose weight. This time, the group of volunteers were made to run until they lost 400 calories after breakfast. However, the other group was able to run more for longer period when they ran before breakfast. The participants were given 400-calorie oatmeal breakfast an hour before their workout.

While all the participants burned calories, the runners who ate their breakfast at least an hour after running burned more calories. The test proves that working out in fasted state leads to better results in fat-loss.

The study is a right step in the direction of a healthy lifestyle that encourages exercising routine as an important part of the day.
