Meghan Trainor has decided to skip her September tour and focus on her health as she is currently suffering from vocal chords problems that need to be addressed through a surgical operation.

In a screenshot of the Instagram message in a report from Vulture, the 21-year old singer apologized her fans who are keen in seeing her in the cancelled concert dates.

"I am devastated, scared, and so sorry. I am determined to do what it takes to get better and come back around stronger than ever," she wrote on her social media page.

The news outlet further said that the songstress' health condition started to appear last month's tour with some tour dates cancelled due to a vocal-cord hemorrhage.

Her doctor then advised her to take 'complete vocal rest,' E! Online remembered.

"I promise I will make it up to my Megatronz. I have never missed a tour date before so this is killing me. I love you all very much and want to get healed quickly so I can show you this amazing tour we've been working on. I am truly sorry to everyone who bought tickets and made travel plans," she said in her previous post.

Despite the sad news, the All About That Bass hitmaker promised her fans to do everything to 'come back around stronger than ever.'

Meghan Trainor is just one of the many singers who recently were advised to take a leave from their work because of vocal cord problems.

Sam Smith and Jess Glynne also have to cancel their tour in the previous months to undergo surgery in the hopes of healing their vocal cord hemorrhage, BBC said.
