Bobbi Kristina Brown's Last Coffin Photo Sold For $ 100,000
Despite their best efforts, the Browns and Houstons could not keep the paparazzi away at Bobbi Kristina Brown's funeral on Monday.
Reports have emerged suggesting that a media outlet has paid as much as $ 100,000 for a picture of Bobbi Kristina in the coffin. Though photographers were not allowed at the funeral ceremony, the media outlet reportedly paid one of the family members to get the job done. Ever since word of photo leak got around, the Browns and Houstons have been loggerheads.
NY Daily News reports that the 22-year old's photo is eerily similar to her mother Whitney Houston's last photo in her coffin taken in 2012. That one too was clandestinely snapped as the media was barred from attending the funeral.
The funeral photo is not the first such attempt with Bobbi Kristina. When she was moved to a hospice center from rehab about a month ago, one of the extended family members clicked a deathbed photograph. Several media outlets reported getting offers for the photo's purchase but the picture was not published. The hospice facility later restricted entry to Bobbi's legal guardians.
Bobbi Kristina was laid to rest next to her mother in Atlanta. Her father Bobby Brown was not to be seen during the burial. During the funeral service, Brown's wife Alicia Etheredge suffered a seizure and was rushed to a hospital. Brown's sister Leolah Brown was booted out of the funeral and spoke to the media waiting outside. She called Bobbi Kristina's aunt Pat Houston a fraud.
Bobbi Kristina Brown died last week after months in coma. She was found unconscious in a bathtub at her Georgia home on January 31. A criminal investigation is on but charges have not been leveled by the Fulton County Police.
